This iconic Disney princess movie begins with: “Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there was a tiny kingdom, peaceful, prosperous, and rich in romance and tradition. Here, in a stately chateau, there lived a widowed gentleman and his little daughter, Cinderella.”

The home that belongs to this Disney princess, is one of the most magical. Before we get to her castle you need to know her mystical back-story.

Cinderella was young when she was orphaned and is under the care of her wicked stepmother when her story begins. When notice of a ball being held at the royal palace arrives at their home, Cinderella wants to attend too. However, her stepmother and stepsisters say she can only go if she cleans the entire house and gets her own dress. After finishing her chores, Cinderella refashions one of her mother’s old dresses with the help of some furry friends. Before she leaves the house, her stepsisters and her stepmother ruin her dress.

Cinderella is distraught. Suddenly her fairy godmother appears and turns Cinderella into a real-life princess — beautiful gown, horses, pumpkin carriage, a coachman, and a footman.

The catch is, she has to be home before midnight when the magic fades. Cinderella rushes to the ball, dances with the prince, and rushes out before the clock strikes 12.

The prince only has a glass slipper and the memory of their dance. He embarks on a quest to find Cinderella.
