35 Years After Chernobyl – What the City of Pripyat Looks Like Today

Students who lived in the nearby town of Chernobyl (about nine kilometers from Pripyat, despite the shared name with the power plant) were absent from their studies that day.

No one was allowed into Pripyat, there were no obstacles to fleeing the city, but no one was told to leave.

These images show how modern photographers found the schoolrooms in recent years.
