29. Bushkill Park
The history of this Pennsylvania parks has more twists and turns than a roller coaster. First opened in 1902, Bushkill Park was the home to America’s first fun house attraction, the Bar’l of Fun. The park also boasted a boating attraction and a skating rink.
Over the course of its long history, Bushkill Park has been hit by numerous floods, often resulting in shutdowns lasting for years. These stretches of abandonment have resulted in some fascinating images of the derelict park.
The last of these floods occurred in 2018, when management pledged to have the park running again later in the year. Currently, work is still being done to repair flood damage, according to the park’s official website.
