Miracle Strip opened in Panama City, Florida in 1963. It featured a number of attractions on opening day, including roller coaster the Starliner, Miracle Strip’s flagship ride. It also became known as the home of unique domed-in rides like Dante’s Inferno, the entrance to which was the giant mouth of the devil. These indoor rides added lighting and sound effects to heighten guests’ thrills.

Miracle Strip flourished for decades before it was closed in 2003 due to lack of interest and high expenses. The park briefly reopened for a short-lived revival in 2010 before closing again in 2015, leaving behind fascinating artifacts of its heyday and making it one of the most haunted looking creepy abandoned amusement parks.
