A modern-day twist on the famous fresco painting that covers part of the Sistine Chape’s ceiling. The artist, Michelangelo, illustrates the Biblical creation narrative from the Book of Genesis. This point of interaction is the moment where God gave life to Adam.

While this photograph looks easy to recreate as many over the years have paid homage to Michelangelo, Fabris admits it was a challenge.

“Translating painting into portrait photography was a challenge I looked forward to,” Fabris wrote on HuffPost. “I wanted to respect the look and feel of the original oil paintings, but needed to come up with a conceptual photo idea that would create a new layer to the original.”
